Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother as was Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox won a scholarship award to attend London's Royal Academy of Music for three years. Her budget was supplemented by a stipend for students and part-time work. Lennox believed that her abilities weren't as good as those of her Royal Academy classmates. So she started thinking of other routes she could choose. Lennox was a flute player in the band Dragons Playground in 1976. She quit the band before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent show. She sang lead to The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977-1980. In this band, she got to know Dave Stewart and together they formed The duo Eurythmics. Lennox started work on Diva in 1992. It was her debut album as a solo artist. Both commercially as well as critically, it was an enormous achievement. Nostalgia Lennoxs six solo album, released in October 2014 is Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox chose her favourite blues and soul tunes. Lepidoptera was recorded by Lennox on May 19, 2019. The album is comprising four tracks that were composed by Lennox. The E.P. The first single from her debut album"Now I Letting You Go... It is the soundtrack to her exhibit of work at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox born December 25 1954, is an Scottish activist, politician and philanthropist. She is also a musician and singer. In the late 70s, Lennox gained some not-so-great fame while members of The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international recognition in the 80s as Eurythmics. In 1992 Lennox began her solo career with their debut record Diva that produced a number of hit tracks, including Why and Walking through Broken Glass. Medusa the studio album, which was which was released in 1995, features the versions of a few of her best-loved songs, including The No MoreI I Still Love Yous (and The Whiter Shade of Pale). Her credits include seven studio albums by herself and a compilation. |
